The night club is pulsating with the Salsa beat as the dapper couple dance. The band in the background wails as the night stars twinkle in time to the bass rhythm line. The palm trees line the floor and envelop the dancers. He is as gorgeous in his dinner jacket as she is in her slinky red dress. He leans her over in a dramatic dip as she holds out her glass of champagne. Let this night go on forever.
He leans on the counter having poured the wines with great flourish. He is a master at his craft, the tasting room king. He has a live one in his keen sight. He exudes testosterone. The gold chain tingles on his hairy chest in anticipation of snaring a big catch a.k.a. making the sale. He has the wines, the charm, the patter. Nobody does it better. Babies, hang on to your wallets...You’re in for a ride and you’ll love it!
There are wolves in the beautiful rolling hills and mountains up valley in the wine country. On this night there is a full moon and the pack throws back their heads and howls in symphonic harmony. The glass of champagne is poured and the tiny bubbles rush in excitement and leap out of the flute into the atmosphere and join with the moon.
She is in the tasting room at her favorite winery. There is nothing more fun than trying new wines...A delight to the senses, swirling, sniffing, tasting, eyeing the color, the legs, spitting?...Not. Her eyes glaze. Her tongue is purple. She lifts her head and laughs at her charming and handsome hospitality host. “I love this wine,” she says.
“There they are...the couple you’ve seen. He is big, strong, powerful, mature, rich and intense...That look in his eagle eye, his Rolex heavy on his wrist. And on his arm she’s a light, feathery hummingbird, happy joyful, shapely, sexy, oh soooo feminine and young. She wears her favorite red stilettos. They drink to happy times.”
She is so elegant in her finery, her hat jauntily perched as she enjoys the heady nose of her lovely wine. As she contemplates her first sip, an inquiring hummingbird decides to share in the appreciation of the nectar of the Gods. They drink to health, happiness and Mother Nature’s Bounty!
She stands in her orchard of luscious fruity olives in various stages of ripeness. Her American Flag Tattoo swells with pride as she raises her glass of Sauvignon Blanc to toast the perfect moment to pick her bounty harvest…“To great wine and great olive oil”. Her hat shades her perfect skin.
